Green Man Charged with Murder, Rape Following Fatal Assault in Summit County

GREEN, OH — A 41-year-old Green resident is behind bars facing severe charges following a fatal sexual assault investigation in Summit County. Adam Richardson was arrested on June 4, 2026, after a search warrant was executed at his residence. He has been charged with Murder, Rape, and Felonious Assault, and is currently booked into the Summit County Jail. The investigation began after a female victim called 911 to report a sexual assault to the Summit County Sheriff’s Office. Although deputies responded to the scene and the victim was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment, she later succumbed to the injuries she sustained during the assault. During the execution of the search warrant at Richardson's home, detectives with the Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau recovered electronics, cash, and illegal narcotics. Officials note that the investigation is ongoing and further charges against Richardson are pending.
